Long time no blog..

So sorry!!  It seems like I do well for awhile keeping up, then I get lazy again.. or sometimes I just get writer's block and I'm not sure what to blog about, especially when I am making slow progress on stitching projects!  But here are some updates anyway!

This is my progress on "At Home With Jane Austen" as of tonight-
Sorry for the bad photo- it's getting hard to fit it all in and still get close enough!
And here is my progress on "Summer House"- I have been working on my lunch break on this one- but have also had some errands to run from time to time on my lunch break so it has been slow going..
I'm finally on the upper portion of the pattern- the blank spots in the bottom half are going to be beads.  I almost always do my beading last, like my mom taught me. :)

We are minus one kid right now- Hanna is visiting my brother-in-law and his family for a little over 2 weeks-kind of a present for being on "A" honor roll all year.  She has been gone one week so far.  I miss my girl but I know it is a good experience for her! And she is having a lot of fun!

David and I went to see "Cars 2" yesterday.  It was really cute, and better than the first one, I thought.  I know many reviews have been not-so-good because the movie isn't all about Lightning McQueen, but I thought the change was nice, and he was in the movie enough given the storyline.  David was super excited to go- we kept it a secret to surprise him, right up until the last minute.

That's life in a nutshell here- better get to bed- I have to work tomorrow! Thanks for being patient with me.  :)

I know I know..

It's been awhile between blogs again- I'm sorry.. time gets away from me.  I had another Premier Designs jewelry party for my friend Emily last weekend.. ladies even if you don't usually support the home-based businesses like Premier and Pampered Chef, etc.. I highly recommend having a Premier Designs jewelry party.  Their jewelry is reasonably priced, made in the USA, and they have a great hostess program. The company is also founded on the Biblical principal.  Not only do you get 30% of your party in free jewelry, there are added bonuses where you can earn even more.  I earned $363 in free jewelry at this party! I was/am so excited. There are so many things I want out of their catalog and got a bunch of the things on my wish list.

That aside, I have been stitching a bit, trying to make more time for it.  Made a wee bit of progress on "I"-
and am hoping to squeeze in a little time on Jane tonight, and hopefully tomorrow too, so I will show you  my progress after the weekend.

The weather has been very nice lately- last weekend David and I went outside to check on the plants and see how they were doing- I did a little weeding and David wanted to do the watering.
I have to watch him though as sometimes he gets carried away.. also saw that my viola are perking up nicely- this one plant anyway-

The others haven't started blooming yet.  From the looks of things our strawberry plant germinated into a lot of the other pots.. I left some but pulled some too so they wouldn't choke out what was in the pots. We'll see how it goes.

A "G" update..

Thanks for being patient with me! Hanna starts school tomorrow so hopefully things will be back on a routine again and I will be back posting more often.  This summer has been far from lazy!  I have been making some fair progress on G though- "Summer House" is put by the wayside for now, probably will be for a while. I am going to get into fall and winter mode soon!  Here is my G as it looks today-
I also started a 4 My Boys design-"Wishing Waiting Hoping", last weekend. Didn't get very far so maybe I will post a pic after this weekend. :)
As I mentioned before Hanna starts school tomorrow- she is very nervous.  Last year was her first year at the middle school and was not a good year for her- several kids were verbally bullying her, saying no one liked her, calling her names etc.  Needless to say she is NOT looking forward to tomorrow, and I just hate it. Please keep her in your prayers- that she has a better year, and realizes what a great kid she is. I hate to see her like this.
Well, it's going to be an early morning tomorrow! I better be off to bed.  Thanks for "listening"(reading.) And for hanging in with me this summer! I know my posts have been sporadic at best. I will try to get back on the ball!
