Crape Myrtles and my silly boy

I apologize for the not-very-good photos.. I took the picture of the crape myrtle with my phone, and I was laughing so hard at my little one I kept shaking the camera! lol Anyway, the crape myrtle, along with the magnolia tree, are two of the bright spots in the long summer of the south. I love these beautiful flowering trees! And my youngest made these super-cool Elton-Johnish sunglasses for "Tropical Day" at his daycare. I tried to get a re-take of the pictures but he refused and took the glasses off. hee hee!

I love crepe murtles and we have lived here at our house now for 8 years. We have one at the side of the house and it never blooms. We don't know why but it has never bloomed. I gets partial sun.
Cute pic!

Don't you love some of these daycare projects?! What do you do with them? Do you save every single thing?
