Good Saturday!

Well I worked hard today but feel like I actually got something done for once. My friend Emily came over and helped me clean, we got some stuff in Hanna's room ready for the baby, gave some stuff to Goodwill, etc. It feels good!
Got a great package from my stitching buddy yesterday- Little House Needlework's "The Bookshelf", and a "Fat Flakes" leaflet, "Pocket Sampler Boo" by Bent Creek, along with some candles and a holder, some candy, a beautiful scissors fob, some great threads, etc. She spoiled me! "The Bookshelf" is my next project for sure. It has all my favorite authors listed, just about. I need to get started on my MIL's t-shirt first, maybe tonight I can get the waste canvas on there and start stitching tonight or tomorrow. She will be here tomorrow night visiting but she doesn't have to know it's hers. :-) She knows I'm making one but not what it looks like. I have chosen an Ellen Maurer-Stroh free pattern that is just beautiful.
Well, I better get going, going to go grab a bite to eat with some friends soon. TTFN!

Hooray! It's Friday!

I had a doctor's appt. yesterday, all is well.. doc measured me and we listened to the baby's heartbeat. I go back in two weeks. We're down to less than two months! It's hard to believe!
This morning has gone better so far than yesterday- yesterday Hanna threw a crying fit for at least 30 min. because I wouldn't let her wear a skirt to school since it was cold and rainy.. then after she kind of got over that she was sobbing about everything else under the sun. I got in my car to take her to school and realized I had left my window cracked overnight and it had rained, so my seat was wet, and the inside of the door. Got her to school, went to the doctor and my doctor was stuck in surgery, he didn't get back until about an hour after my appointment time. That was ok, I had my book, but it is work time missed. Oh well, the day ended up all right, when I picked Hanna up she was in a great mood, and when I got home found that I have a package waiting for me at the post office from Down Sunshine Lane. It's mainly for my stitching buddy but there is a couple things in there for me. I love stash mail!
Well, I better go get ready for work- hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend!

My progress on Christ in Gethsemane as of 2-22-05 Posted by Hello

Phew!

I thought my blog was gone.. went to the site and only a couple little marks there.. looks like it's back on track.
My cold is a bit better today thank goodness, not as stuffy as yesterday and can taste my food a bit more.
I didn't even have to take any medicine today!
I worked a bit last night on "Christ in Gethsemane." I'll post a pic in a minute. It's coming along slowly but surely. Tonight I think I'll work on my LK flip-it. I can at least finish the chick before I fall asleep I'm sure. LOL

By node id do duffy...

I am fighting a cold!! I have stayed healthy this whole pregnancy and now with two months to go I have a cold. :-P Oh well, could be worse. It's really not that bad except for my nose being stuffy. I hate when I can't taste my food - takes all the fun out of eating.
Otherwise today was an ok day, got an incentive check from one of our companies that I totally forgot about, that was a nice surprise. It will help since I'm getting keyless entry put in my car tomorrow. That will be so nice. Having manual locks wasn't so bad when I had a two door, but with a four door is a real pain, and would be even worse once the baby is born.
I decided today I will keep posting my progress on my WIPs on here, maybe I will get more done if I know someone's watching! LOL

my progress as of 2-18 on April flip it! Posted by Hello

Noel Ornament from JCS Ornament issue 2003 Posted by Hello

Hooray! It's Saturday!

Hoping to get some stitching done today, I am on the 2nd block of the April flip it- have about half of it to go then I can move on to the large one. I also need to pull threads for the t-shirt for my mother-in-law- would like to get that started today and make it my weekend project.
DH bought me an MP3 player, guess he feels bad about that whole Valentine's Day thing. LOL
I have a baby shower to go to tonight, for a friend of mine who's due 4 days before me. Should be fun! DH is staying home with Hanna, which reminds me I need to call and tell them I might be a little late.. have to wait for him to get home before I can leave. It will be nice to have some time away, even if it's just for a little while.
Today I plan to start the process of cleaning/rearranging things for the baby, since it looks like we will still be in this apt. when he is born. I've been keeping an eye out for someplace bigger, but so far the only places in our budget our in not-so-nice neighborhoods. I do believe the Lord will provide in his time, we just have to be patient. Well guess that's it for now, will post my progress on my WIPs now.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hope it was better than mine. No mushy card even. Oh well. The day was ok otherwise, except was hoping for some stuff I ordered in the mail, and it didn't come. Was really thinking it would get here by today. Maybe tomorrow...
Below is a pin I finished Sunday- I actually finished stitching earlier in the week but had to sew it together. The scan turned out kind of blurry for some reason. I like the pin though, I think it's cute. There's a melting snowman one for March. I don't know if they had one for January, I haven't seen one. I'll start on March in a week or so. They don't take long, I think the stitching only took me 2 days on this one, could've finished it in one if I had the time.Well that's about it here.. will post more when I am a little more cheerful. lol

Been busy

I am training someone at work this week, and probably for the next several.. she will work with us before, during, and after my maternity leave.. I'm looking forward to it. It will be nice to have someone to keep me company sometimes. She's catching on really quick too.
Anyway.. started stitching the L*K April flip-it, worked on Christ in Gethsemane a bit last night, I'm going to try to start working on it every Tuesday again.
Oh well .. going to go to bed.. I'm worn out.

Happy Monday!

Or at least I hope it will be!! I got some things done this weekend, no laundry left except maybe one load.. have to change the sheets on our beds..
We watched some more movies this weekend- "Sleepover" which was really cute, "Shall We Dance"- enjoyed that one too, and "The Grudge", which was scary and suspenseful but the ending really stunk. I wanted to rent "Vanity Fair" but they were all out.
As you can see I finished some stitching this weekend, got my Cross Stitchery pin kit done too, but I need to iron it and sew it together.. will hopefully get that done tonight.
I did a little online shopping at Super Bowl sales, everything I got was for my Stitching Buddy tho. That's ok, I feel guilty buying anything for myself these days, unless it's supplies to get a project done!
Well, off to get ready for work! Hope everyone has a good week!

Dad got his tractor

and he likes it alot! I am so glad. He said he is going to make a frame for it and hang it next to his John Deere calendar.
I'm almost finished with my L*K flip-it, just have to finish the border and add the charm, then it's on to the April flip it! I hope to finish it today. I wanted to finish it last night but fell asleep again. It is so frustrating! Hopefully today I can my housework out of the way and stitch this afternoon. I say that every Saturday- maybe this Saturday I can make it happen. But I guess to do that I need to get off this computer. TTFN!

February already!

I can hardly believe it.. January is already over. I ended the month with a new finish but can't post it til it reaches it's recipient. It's for my dad for this past Christmas. OOPS.
Our weekend was ok, watched some more movies- "The Day After Tomorrow" and "Cinderella Story," both of which were really good! "Cinderella Story" had som really funny parts.
Sunday we went to Raleigh and took some friends with us. We went to Babies R' Us and ordered our crib and got a cute little summer outfit for the baby, then went to Olive Garden for lunch. YUMMMM Then we walked around the mall for a bit, I got some flannel pjs on sale at Victoria's Secret. They are so cozy!
Well time to get off the computer and get ready for work...
