Well I should be cleaning but thought I would post instead. No stitching done last night except a little more progress on my ornament.. I am hoping to get alot done this next week! I need to kit some things up today. Ooops I think I said that yesterday. Not much on TV last night, just a CSI Miami re-run which I fell asleep during. So I went to bed.
I don't remember if I mentioned, my good friend Wanda was at the antique shops the other day and picked up the cutest outfit for the baby. I don't think it's really an antique but it looks like it. I think we will use it for his baptism if it fits. This is great because dh was looking at Strasberg Children(or something like that) for a baptism outfit and even the clearance was expensive. Hanna was easy - she just wore my baptismal gown. I know boys wear gowns at baptisms sometimes but this one has pink trim. LOL And dh would have none of that, and I suppose I wouldn't either. hee hee.
I am so excited, we are going out for sushi tonight.. I have been craving it so much. But no worries, I won't eat the raw stuff only what's cooked. Can't risk it with the baby.
Well I suppose I better go make us some lunch and get back to cleaning. :-P Not sure if I will be on again til after next week, don't know if we will have internet access at the hotel.

I'm pooped.

What a busy day.. trying to get as much caught up as possible before I take a week off. I am glad to be home. Plus I think I am coming down with something, my throat is prickly and I've been sneezing and have a runny nose. And I've been taking my prenatal vitamins and grapeseed extract like a good girl! Waaah. I hope it doesn't get any worse, it's not that bad now except for my throat and ears hurting.
The weather today was weird, almost spring like! I want some more cold weather. It doesn't seem like fall otherwise.
Not much excitement today.. I am hoping to get back to the outlet mall this weekend and get this cute Hungry little caterpillar bodysuit for the baby. It was adorable. I should have gotten it when I was there last weekend.
I'm making progress on my stitching projects.. hoping to finish that ornament soon. I need to plan for the week ahead and kit up some things.
Well gotta go eat some dinner soon..

another busy day..

Work is going to be so crazy before I leave for VA next week.. had insurance classes today and yesterday and have days worth of work today in just two days. Ugh. I'm going to try to get to work early tomorrow and maybe stay a little late. I need to get things done but it is so hard with the phone ringing all the time.

:-) I am so relieved.
Went to the mall after work to see a friend of mine, and picked up some cute maternity pants on sale, that was cool. I needed some black pants because the ones I had are already getting too snug. Then came home, made some dinner, etc.. now I am going to make a cup of cocoa and bag up my Avon orders.. didn't have many so it shouldn't take long, thank goodness.. I'd like to get some stitching time in without staying up too late, and it's already after 10 pm!

It's a boy!(?)

Or at least we're pretty sure.. had the ultrasound today and everything looks good. :-) Hanna was pretty much devastated that she wasn't getting a little sister, there was a lot of tears but by the time I picked her up from school she seemed accustomed to the idea, thank goodness. I don't think I could go thru 6 months of that! It broke my heart! But of course everyone else is excited, esp. dh and my dad, who had about lost all hope of ever having a grandson!
Mom and Dad returned home today, which is always sad, but we had a good time. I'm thankful they got to be here for the ultrasound. I will post a pic or two of the ultrasound tomorrow, dh took them to work tonight. :-)

Stash Day!

Well, Mom, Dad, and I went to Raleigh while Hanna was at school today and went to Lazy Daizy.. I was in stash heaven.. so many things to choose from. And I finished up(with Mom's help) my Daizy card so I got $10 worth of stuff free. This is what I got: WDW and Rainbow Gallery threads, the Bent Creek Holiday "Be Merry"snapper, 4 My Boys "Wishing-Waiting-Hoping", Little House Needleworks "Home of a Needleworker", Erica Michael's "Peace & Quiet", The Irish Hare's " A Little Seasoning No.3", and "Let It Snow" by Sam Sarah Design Studio. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh! I love stash! I have to go into work for a little bit today, then hopefully I will get to rest the remainder of the day. And tomorrow is our ultrasound! Well, better go get ready for work!

Mom and Dad are here!

Which is why I didn't post yesterday, was working and doing some last minute tidying up in the house! I am so glad they're here, I haven't seen them since the spring. And Dad is giving us his old computer!! HOORAY!!! It is so much better and faster than this one, I can't wait. He is going to help us set it up this weekend. Not sure what we are doing today, going to the Veteran's Day parade I think.. I have to work for a bit in the afternoon but otherwise am off for the day. My boss and his wife invited us out for dinner tonight- seafood yummmmm- so that should be fun.
Between the 8th and today, not much happened, was just busy getting ready for their visit. I do have to say I had someone say the stupidest thing to me the other day.. I went to pick up a prescription at Target pharmacy.. and I had a gift card, so I asked the lady in the pharmacy if I could use it toward the cost of my prescription..she said "Is there anything on it?" I thought she meant had I used it for anything else so I said that no I hadn't used it for anything yet, and she said she meant was there any money on it. hello. Obviously there is or I wouldn't want to use it for my purchase!! Duh. I just don't get people sometimes.
Stitching-wise I finally finished the green background on my ornament to so hopefully the rest won't take that long. Mom has brought her crocheting, and stitching so hopefully we will get in some good needlework time while she is here!
Well I better go, will pop in as I can while they are here and let you know what we're up to!

Hanna is 6 today!!

I can hardly believe it!! We had her party on Saturday, as I mentioned before. It was a lot of fun. Our theme was Barbie Princess & the Pauper. We had it at a place called All-Stars, they have one of those big inflatable playlands with slides, moonwalks, ball pits, tunnels etc. The girls had a blast. It was also nice to not have to clean up. :-) The rest of the day was pretty normal- went grocery shopping etc..
Sunday was church, then home for the rest of the day pretty much. Ran out to the dollar store to get plates and cups for Hanna to take to school with cake today. Got a little done on the baby gift I have been working, finished Night's Landing by Carla Neggers.. it was excellent. I love romantic suspense. Today I started Rose Cottage by Mary Stewart. It's good so far.
Work was busy today, one of those days I felt like I didn't get much done, but I did write a new policy and that's always good. My co-worker brought me a shirt she thought I'd be able to wear while I'm pregnant, which I am so thankful for! Maternity clothes are ridiculously priced if you buy them new. I am hopefully going to check out some of the thrift stores when my parents come to visit. Only two more days! I am so excited. :-D I haven't seen them since the spring. Which reminds me, I need to go get some cleaning done! LOL

Saturday morning..

oooooh I am so lazy, another night of no stitching except for a little on my ornament.. started watching CSI and Without a Trace and didn't do a stitch. Maybe this weekend. And how aggravating that Without a Trace is continued this coming week! Will have to make sure I watch or tape it. Not much going on here this morning, got to get ready for the party today and also make a run to Target..so I better get off this darn computer!! Have a great day!

finally time to rest

Hanna is watching "Shrek 2"(one of the many things dh bought at Walmart early this morning) and soon I will put her to bed, and watch CSI and/or Without A Trace that I taped last night.. if I can stay awake. I'm not as tired as I thought I would be, but once I snuggle under a blanket to stitch that may change. LOL

Today was a long day at work again, had lots of running around to do and I am soooooo glad to be home. I'm feeling the baby kick more often now, he/she was really getting a workout on the way to take dh his dinner tonight!! But I don't mind at all. :-)

I haven't gotten much stitching in today, just a teensy bit on the ornament I've been working on, sometimes I feel like I'll never get done!! But I really need to concentrate most of my stitching time on that baby gift.

Well not much excitement today..am going to go veg and watch TV now.. big day tomorrow, Hanna's birthday party!

Good? Morning

Men. Dh woke me up at 3-something this morning to show me what he got Hanna for her b-day at our 24-hour Walmart.. which wouldn't be so bad but then he told me how much he spent(he also bought party favors, etc). Well that stressed me out so bad I didn't get back to sleep for at least an hour and half. I hope I'm not dragging by the end of the day. Well TGIF anyway.. got to get going to take the dog to the vet for his shots. Maybe I will feel cheerier later.

Glad to be home

Ugh. Today work was so crazy.. all kinds of computer errors, calling tech support, and on top of that helping clients too..I so wish it was Friday! Oh well, only one more day.
This weekend we're having Hanna's birthday party-her birthday isn't actually til Monday, but we're having it on the closest weekend. A bunch of 5 and 6 year old girls, thank goodness at least some of their parents stick around! Not sure if dh is going to make it, he might have to work. :-( He might make it to part of it, if they let him work the early shift Saturday.
Absolutely no stitching done last night.. except when I took dh dinner, worked on a Xmas ornament. Got home, turned on a Law & Order re-run since CSI:NY wasn't on til ten(thank goodness for Tivo), and within 30 min. was dozing off on the couch. So I turned it off and went to bed. Told ya I was tired! LOL
OH how could I forget.. had a prenatal appt. today- bloodscreening for birth defects/Down's syndrome. :-{ But also got to hear the heartbeat, 155 beats per minute, but doc said it's still to early to count on that to detect the sex. No worries, have the ultrasound scheduled for the 16th! :-D Well that's my excitement for the day! Hope to get some stitching accomplished tonight.

Phew

What a day! I am so happy that Bush won. Otherwise today was pretty ordinary- I was by myself most of the day at work as my boss is having a problem with his back. It got pretty busy toward the end of the day..now I'm just tired.
Speaking of tired, I'm going to try putting my moods on my individual blogs.. since my moods can change alot in one day. LOL I'll see at the end of this one if it will work.
I ended up not watching LOTR last night, watched "Desperate Housewives" that I Tivoed. That show is a trip- very entertaining! Tonight I'm not sure what I'll watch.. CSI NY is on but I may tape it and watch it tomorrow, I guess it depends what time I get Hanna to bed. I'm kind of tired to stay up and watch it. I'll probably work on a baby gift I'm doing tonight.. I really need to get it done. Well that's about it for now.. if I think of anything interesting maybe I'll come back on later.
Well doesn't look like the mood thing is going to work in post.. will keep doing it as before. Hmph.

I would love to stay up for the play by play on the election.. but I have to work tomorrow. :( We probably won't know anything til morning anyway.. all I have to say is that if Kerry wins I am really disappointed in the people of the USA, and scared for the future! That's all I will say on that subject.. at least for now. LOL

Well I've done it..

I've joined the blog world.. don't know how much I will have to say.. but no one has to read it if they don't want to, right?
Well.. today is election day here in the US.. wonder how long it will take for us to know who won. I know here in our county they haven't even finished counting the early votes yet- we could vote last week.
But enough about politics! I have almost finished L*K's Sept. 2004 flip-it.. a little behind I know but I don't have October's yet anyway so maybe I'll take this time to go back and do March and April. I will post a finish when I'm done! Was working on a Halloween freebie and thought I was almost done than realized the eyes were supposed to be beads, and of course they are a color I don't have. I need to find out what color they are, then maybe I will just do french knots instead.
Today was a fairly uneventful day at work, and tonight I have to put Avon orders together.. I think I am going to quit after Christmas- lately my orders are so small I end up just breaking even or paying instead of earning. Not worth it, esp. since I will quit anyway after the baby is born. After I put my orders together I will stitch and watch TV.. Law & Order Special Victims Unit is on tonight, I think, unless there is election coverage. If there is I will probably watch one of the Lord of the Rings movies.. haven't watched them for awhile.
Has anyone tried the new Berry 7Up with vitamins? It is really good and not terribly sweet, I like it.
